Being Proactive — Not Just a Buzzword

“Proactive” is one of the most overused terms in our industry. Every MSP claims to be proactive. But in reality, most are doing the bare minimum, setting up remote monitoring tools that trigger alerts when something’s about to go wrong. That’s not innovation, nor is it true proactivity.
We believe proactivity should go far beyond automated alerts. As our Director Adrian Richings often says,
“It’s the small touches that make the difference.”

In an industry that often hides behind screens and ticketing systems, Alex Wells from our helpdesk team does something radical, he picks up the phone. After resolving an issue, he follows up with users days later to check in, ensure everything’s still running smoothly, and ask if there’s anything more we can do. That’s not just support — that’s relationship-building.
Root Cause, Not Quick Fixes
Many MSPs rely on junior engineers to handle support tickets, often applying temporary fixes that don’t address the underlying issue. We do things differently. We invest time in Root Cause Analysis. When a problem is persistent or complex, it goes to seasoned experts like Tom Croft, who dig deep to find and fix the real issue, not just the symptom.
