Cloud Hosting, IaaS & Hybrid
Cloud computing is set to grow by 18% by 2027 as more organisations look to leverage the many benefits that come from cloud, with greater agility, security, control and automation.
EquiTech have significant strength and depth in our cloud pillar, with the majority of our founders coming from a cloud background. But what differentiates EquiTech from other IT providers in the market is our
pedigree and approach.
Our team of Technical engineers have worked on minor migrations of one or two servers ranging up to complex setups with hundreds of servers, all with different dependencies and innate requirements.
Our approach with Cloud is to focus heavily on the design (evaluation) and optimisation stages. That’s because cloud doesn’t operate the same way as traditional hardware systems do. A downfall of many IT partners is that they over-specify cloud environments, meaning that expense is wasted on resources that will never be utilised. Which becomes a costly affair when you consider that you pay for what you use in the cloud for every second that you use it.
For every Cloud project, our cloud architects work in tandem pairs. With the primary architect tasked with designing the cloud ecosystem. Assisted in parallel by the secondary architect, whom is tasked with vetting the works of their counterpart to look at efficiencies and alternatives. Then the roles are reversed come the optimisation step after deployment. At this point the secondary architect will look for ways to optimise the setup, to then be scrutinised by the primary architect. For environments of significant scale, we’ll use primary and secondary teams of cloud architects.
The EquiTech cloud approach ensures that cloud environments are designed, implemented and optimised, in a streamlined fashion.
With particular emphasis on optimisation, which is an area that needs regular review with it not being evergreen. Typically speaking the demands on a workload will evolve over time as software features are added or as user behaviour changes. Therefore we always recommend to have regular optimisation checks. That way we can ensure any cloud environment remains streamlined and fit for purpose.
Our expertise when it comes to cloud hosting include
IaaS
IaaS or Infrastructure as a Service, for full cloud hosting for all workloads - ie where organisations have no on-premise servers and operate entirely from the cloud.
Public Cloud
Utilising the renowned public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and the plethora or tools, automation and security controls that can be configured.
Private Cloud
Leveraging boutique datacenters for more unique requirements suited to those organisation who require a more bespoke setup, or those with restrictive governance.
Hybrid
Adopting both on-premise and cloud systems to integrate and operate in harmony, aligning workloads to their most suited environment due to latency, performance, scalability, costs etc.
